Description
Imitation Viking knit necklace made using steel wire mesh tube and 6 mm white glass beads. Recreation of a Viking knit necklace. Viking knit, also known as the trichinopoly chain, is an ancient form of circular wire weaving. Because there are no separate links, the term “chain” is misleading. The chain is made from a length of successively looped wire, which results in a long tube that is then stretched. The Viking knit is still widely used today.
